Irving Park does a lot of things right and does not make a big deal about it. Bungalows, big old homes in Old Irving, real yards, and a Metra stop that gets you downtown fast. Prices still make sense for many first time buyers and growing families. It is not flashy, and the people who live here like it that way. It is also a good fit for buyers who grew up in the suburbs, like I did in Des Plaines, and want a little of that feel without leaving the city.
